Loukovice

Loukovice ( German Laukowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 16 kilometers south-west of Třebíč in Jarmeritzer pool ( Jaroměřická kotlina ) and belongs to Okres Třebíč.

Geography

Loukovice is located in the valley of the creek Loukovický. To the south rises the Tašky ( 582 m) and in the north the Kocapila ( Kozabiriberg, 536 m). To the west of the pond is Bolíkovický fishpond.

Neighboring towns are Sádek and Cerveny Mlyn in the north, Kojetice in the northeast, Horni Újezd ​​and Újezdský Mlýn in the east, Šebkovice the southeast, Nové Dvory and Horni Lažany in the south, Babice the southwest, Bolíkovice and Bolíkovický Mlýn in the west and Čáslavice in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Loukovice place in the year 1349. Owners at the time was William of Babice which with the Red Star left the Crusaders half of the villages Babice, Marti Nice, Loukovice and part of Vesce and half the church patronage. After this foundation, he took his seat on Bolíkovice and called himself William of Bolíkovice. In 1387 he sold his reign Jaroslav von Sternberg and 1437 they acquired the Lords of Bolíkovice back, which can then be called from Babice. In 1495 it was sold to the Lords of Bačkovice and 1610 were the Hrubčický of Čechtín owners who joined the dominion Babice to Lesonice. By Loukovice led the Haberner Steig, an important trade route from Prague to Moravia. Gepfarrt was Loukovice to the Church of St..
