Mabitac, Laguna

Mabitac is a Philippine municipality in the province of Laguna, in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 18,618 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 15 barangays. It is classified as a community of the fifth income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Mabitacs neighboring municipalities are Santa Maria in the north, Famy the southeast, and Pakil Pangil in the southwest. The topography of the city is characterized by flatlands, rolling hills and mountainous landscapes, the foothills of the Sierra Madre in the east. In the south the city borders on the largest lake in the Philippines, the Laguna de Bay.
