San Pedro (Laguna)

San Pedro ( Tagalog: Bayan ng San Pedro) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Laguna, in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 294 310 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 20 barangays. It is classified as a church of the first income class in the Philippines and as a highly urbanized.

San Pedro is in the northwest of the province of Laguna, the largest freshwater lake in the Philippines, the Laguna de Bay. The neighboring municipalities are Muntinlupa City in the north, Biñan City in the south, General Mariano Alvarez and Dasmariñas in the West. The topography of the city is characterized by extensive lowlands. The municipality is situated approximately 35 km south of the capital region of Metro Manila and is accessible via the South Luzon Expressway.

In the village there is a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
