Majayjay is a Philippine municipality in the province of Laguna. It has 26.547 inhabitants ( census 2010).

Geography

Majayjay lies at the foot of Banahaw at an altitude of about 300 meters above the sea. Majayjay is located 120 kilometers southeast of Manila and is bordered by Lucban in Quezon province in the south, Louisiana to the east and to Liliw on the west.

Majayjay was founded in 1571. The name is derived from the word "Ma " which means " many " means.
