Magdalena (Laguna)

Magdalena ( Tagalog: Bayan ng Magdalena ) is a Philippine municipality in the province of Laguna, in the administrative region IV, Calabarzon. It has 22,976 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 24 barangays. It is classified as the fourth income class municipality in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Magdalena's neighboring communities are Majayjay in the south, Liliw the southwest, Nagcarlan in the West, Pagsanjan in the north and in the southeast Louisiana. The topography of the city is characterized by gently rolling countryside at the foot of the volcano Banahaw in the south west and the foothills of the Sierra Madre in the east.
