Máslovice

Máslovice ( German Maslowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers south-east of Kralupy nad Vltavou and 18 kilometers north of the city center of Prague and is part of the Okres Praha- východ.

Geography

Máslovice is located on the right side of the Vltava River in the Czech panel above the valley of the creek Máslovický. Northeast of the village lies the airfield and the site of the military aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody. Opposite the ruins of the castle of Dol Liběhrad leads a car ferry to Libčice nad Vltavou.

Neighboring towns are Zlončice and Postřižín in the north, Odolena Voda and Dolínek in the northeast, Vodochody in the east, in the southeast Drasty, Větrušice in the south, Dol and Libčice nad Vltavou in the southwest, Holubice in the west and Debrno, Dolany and Dolánky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1052 in the founding document of the monastery Stara Boleslav by Břetislav 1298 gave the owner of the place, Vojtěch of Poděhus, Máslovice the altar of St.. Vitus at Prague Castle. During the Hussite Wars, the village came to secular owners and was then returned to the Prague cathedral chapter. In the Berni rula 1654 the manorial court and four peasant farms are reported for Máslovice. 1706 was sold to the village to Karl Josef Voračický of Paběnice, which it joined his estates in Chvatěruby. At the end of the 18th century consisted Máslovice from 15 houses. In the 19th century Matthias Friedrich Freiherr von bought Giant Stallburg on Panenské Břežany Chvatěruby with all accessories.

After the abolition of patrimonial Máslovice formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Karlin. The information given by the construction of the railroad from Prague to Dresden at this time settlement of factories in neighboring Libčice led in the second half of the 19th century to an increase of the village Máslovice. As of 1928, the village belonged to the district Praha- venkov. 1935 was a waterworks with water tower, which eliminated the lack of water in the village. In 1946 the congregation to Okres Praha -sever and since 1961 it belongs to the Okres Praha- východ. Máslovice into his coat of arms a butter churn.
