Maxim Rodshtein

Maxim Rodshtein (Russian Максим Эдуардович Родштейн; born January 19, 1989 in Leningrad) is an Israeli chess player.

Rodshtein grew up in St. Petersburg, where he was the St. Petersburg U10 Champion. 1998 the family moved to Israel. In 2005 he received the title of International Master, 2007 years he was Grand Master. At the Chess Olympiad 2008 in Dresden in November 2008, he won with the Israeli team silver medal at the 2010 Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, he scored 5.5 points from 9 games, the Israeli team has brought bronze.

In 2007, he reached a split tournament victory at the 25th Andorra International Open where 101 players took part. Already in 2002 he was second in the U14 European Championship. Rodshtein won the U-16 World Championship in 2004 in Heraklion. He won at the 12th Open Internacional de Sants in Barcelona ( 2010).

Chess club he plays for the Be'er Sheva Chess Club. In the chess Bundesliga since the 2013/14 season playing for the club Epping.
