Mecklenburg Switzerland
The Mecklenburg Switzerland is a landscape in the central part of the state of Mecklenburg -Western Pomerania, north of the lake district and immediately northwest of Malchiner and Lake Kummerow. The landscape is situated north- west of the line Malchiner lake, Dahmer channel, Lake Kummerow to Peene (channel) at Neukalen and from there south-east of the line Lelkendorf, Teterower lake, Teterow, United Wokern to Malchiner pool. A well-defined boundary does not exist. Much of the landscape is located in the Natural Park of Mecklenburg Switzerland and Lake Kummerow. The charm make the preserved nature, the hills, pristine villages and many castles. The Mecklenburg Switzerland consists of 19 percent forest and 10 per cent water surfaces.
