Mess (band)

Measurement was an Austrian musical duo of the 1980s. It consisted of Elisabeth Engstler and Michael Scheickl ( under the pseudonym Fritz) who were also married.

Participation in the Euro Vision Song Contest

The duo founded in 1982 for the Austrian preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest this year, in which both singers were each represented with a solo title. For their song Sunday, which composes of Scheickl (as Michael Mell ) and was texted by Rudolf Leve, measuring received 1655 points and won by a considerable distance ahead of second-placed group Main Street, which was less than half the votes. When Euro Vision Song Contest in Harrogate Engstler and Scheickl were somewhat less successful, with 57 points they reached the ninth place among 18 participants.

Commercial success

Sunday was a great success in Austria and took first place in the singles charts. The song was released in other countries. Measuring published until 1983, two more singles and an album, but could not be placed in the charts.
