Middlesex University is a university in north London, England. The University was established in 1973 by the merger of several higher education institutions and received the 1992 names Middlesex University.

Middlesex University is one of the largest universities in the UK, with about 40,000 students ( in London, Dubai, Malta, Mauritius, and in some academic partners ) and more than 2,500 employees. The university has four locations in North London: Hendon, Cat Hill ( in Cockfosters ), Enfield and Trent Park. Also includes a medical department to the university teaching hospitals with the Royal Free Hospital ( Hampstead ), Whittington Hospital ( together with the University College London), Chase Farm and North Middlesex Hospital.

Some of the locations are architecturally and historically very interesting, such as the location in a 4 acre park Trent Park campus. The Cat Hill campus also houses the university's own Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture ( MoDA ).

Was opened in 2004 as an international branch of the Middlesex University, a campus in Dubai, in 2009, another in Mauritius and from September 2013 there will be an outdoor campus in Malta. About some international academic partners, a distance education (often in the local language ) is possible at Middlesex University.

The Middlesex University is one of the universities with the highest proportion of international students and received three times the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education.
