Mikko Kurvinen

Mikko Kurvinen ( born March 11, 1979 in Anjalankoski ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since 2009 HIFK Helsinki of the SM - liiga in under contract.

Career

Mikko Kurvinen began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of AaKoo, for the seniors team, he was active in the third-class Suomi- sarja 1995-1999. Then the defender moved to HIFK Helsinki for the first team he spent seven years in the SM- liiga, the top Finnish league on the ice. For the season 2006/ 07 he joined the Mora IK of the Swedish Elitserien. With his team he went into the next season from the HockeyAllsvenskan, changed himself but for the 2008/ 09 season in the Elitserien to MODO Hockey.

In the summer of 2009 Kurvinen returned to HIFK Helsinki back in the SM- liiga. With the capital club, he won the Finnish championship title in the 2010/11 season.
