Milbertshofen (Munich U-Bahn)

Metro Station Milbertshofen the Munich subway is located in the district of the same name between Schopenhauer and Keferloherstraße during the Knorrstraße. It was opened on November 20, 1993 and is served by the U2.

From large reflectors, which are fitted as canopy on the ceiling, the inlaid with bright plates platform is illuminated. The fluorescent tubes are alternately inclined outwardly and inwardly. The hexagonal columns were covered with reddish shiny granite. At the turquoise primed rear track walls horizontally extending support members are attached, which are occupied with mosaic glass tiles. This arrangement is only interrupted in the middle, as there are large carrier elements with red and blue mosaic tiles here.

About a block basement can be reached at the northern end of the platform to the intersection Knorr Street / Lexington Street. At the east end you get either a lift directly to the surface or a floor lock to the intersection Knorrstraße / Schopenhauerstraße. The station was to be called " Keferloherstraße " originally.
