Scheidplatz (Munich U-Bahn)

Metro Station Scheidplatz in Munich is a four-track railway junction and was opened on 8 May 1972. The eponymous Scheidplatz is named after Karl Friedrich Scheid. Is operated by the station of the lines 2 and 3, wherein the distance of the U2 until 1980 reached the bus stop. Thus was the inner track trough the north, on the upside, the U2, initially not provided with tracks. The track of the U2 towards the city center was used as siding. Until the opening of the line to Feldmoching the U2 reversed on to the Olympic Center. Toward Hasenbergl and Harthof you had to change to Tram 12 or 13. Since the U3, which runs on the outer tracks than the first station reached, the line color is orange, which is found on the escalators and to the seating areas. Since December 15, 2013 Saturdays drives the amplifier U8 Olympia center to Sendlinger gate that switches on Scheidplatz from the main line 1 on the main line 2.

The rear track walls are made of exposed concrete, in which a relief is shuttered, showing window-like passing subway trains. The tunnel entrances were decorated with deep blue majolica tiles with red marine animals. On the ceiling aluminum fins were attached, who by the light bars to the high platform hall light and airy appear, which itself is not very strong influence on the upgraded elevators.
