Montevideo Wanderers FC

The Montevideo Wanderers Fútbol Club, short Wanderers, (nicknamed Bohemios ) is a football club from Montevideo in Uruguay.

Their home games bear holds in the montevideanischen Barrio Prado Wanderers, whose seat is in the Avenida Agraciada 2871, from the Estadio Viera. Coach of the team in 2012 is Alfredo Arias.

History

The first two decades

The standing in the shadow of sporty and economically influential rivals Nacional and Peñarol Wanderers were founded on August 15, 1902. Shortly after the founding of the original team colors were blue and white as a sign of solidarity with the Argentine club Estudiantes de Buenos Aires changed black and white in its color. You are still the team colors of the Wanderers. Right in the first two decades of its existence, celebrated the Wanderers great success. Thus, in 1906 and 1909 respectively Uruguayan champions over the years. 1908 and 1910 you won the Copa de Honor the team in the years 1906, 1908, 1911, 1917, 1918, and thus five times the Copa Competencia in favor of the club. 1920s

The Wanderers are since the introduction of professional football in Uruguay in 1932 to the " evergreens " of the Primera División. Previous Coach (excerpt)

From March 2010 to December 2011 Daniel Carreño held as coach. Carreño was followed on 12 December 2011, the former coach of the youth team ( Quinta ) of the Montevideaner, Alfredo Arias, who until 1983 worked for the club already as a player in 1977 and 1979, according as coach of the Montevideo Wanderers. He signed a one-year contract. He stands as an assistant coach of former Wanderers player Vicente Estavillo aside. The coaching staff is complemented by Ignacio Berriel.
