Mor ve Ötesi
Mor ve Ötesi ( German: " Purple and Beyond ", morötesi: " ultraviolet " ) is a Turkish rock band from İstanbul.
History
In early 1995 founded Kerem Kabadayi, Harun Tekin, Derin Esmer and Alper Tekin the band Mor ve Ötesi and recorded their first album in August of the same year. Consisting of original compositions of this album was released in June 1996 under the title Şehir. Their first concert outside of İstanbul they gave Orta Dogu Teknik Üniversitesi in ( ODTÜ; Technical University of the Middle East ) in Ankara in 1997, the same year Alper Tekin left the group and Burak Güven was recorded for him.. After 1999, the album was recorded Aksin Birak Zaman, Derin Esmer left the group and was replaced by Kerem Özyeğen. On December 16, 2000 Mor ve Ötesi appeared as the opening act for placebo in the " Hilton Convention & Exhibition Center". Their third album " Gul kendine " they brought the end of 2001 to the market. The first single " Yaz Yaz Yaz " became a big hit and caused a stir. " Giderken Güneye " The second single ( " On the way to the south" ) consolidated its position in the scene of the Turkish alternative music.
In 2003 she published, together with other prominent Turkish artists (including Athena and Aylin Aslım ) a protest song against the U.S. attack on Iraq with the name Savasa HIC Gerek Yok ( German war is not necessary). The year 2004 was the year of Mor ve Ötesi - thanks to their album release in spring ( Dunya Yalan Söylüyor ), whose singles " Cambaz " (Eng.: acrobat ), " Bir Var Derdim " (Eng.: I have a problem ) and " Sevda cicegi "(Eng.: Love flower) all with the" have won Kral " Music Award.
" Büyük Düsler " (Eng.: Big Dreams ) was released in 2006. The first single / Maxi - CD was " Şirket " (Eng.: Company ). On 15 February 2008 Mor ve Ötesi presented in TRT television her song Deli ( Mad ) the audience, with whom she represented Turkey in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008. Mor ve Ötesi had officially (ie, TRT - side) of free choice of languages . They had decided, in Belgrade to sing in Turkish.
