Mount Mawson

The Mount Mawson is located in the Mount Field National Park in Tasmania, Australia. The mountain is located about 89 kilometers north- west of Hobart and 232 km from Launceston. The summit of this mountain is 1320 meters above sea level.

The ski area is located approximately at an altitude of 1250 meters and is the deeper of the two ski areas of Tasmania. There are four ski lifts and five runs, which are within walking distance about 20 minutes from the car park. At Mount Mawson ski area was opened in 1958.

In Tasmania 's only one other ski Ben Lomond. Mount Mawson is considered the schneesicherere ski area.
