Nadezhda Wijenberg

Nadezhda Wijenberg (born russian Надежда Алексеевна Ильина, Nadezhda Alexeyevna Iljina, English transcription Nadezhda Ilyina, . Born April 2, 1964 Rajon Kanash ) is a Dutch long-distance runner of Russian origin who specializes in road races.

In 1992 she won the Lisbon Half Marathon and 1996 in the 25 km from Berlin and the Amsterdam Marathon. After she married her coach Ger Wijenberg, she received 1999 the Dutch nationality. This year, she turned on the Eindhoven Marathon with 2:28:45 personal best and the current course record.

In a marathon, the 2000 Olympics she won the 22th place, and at the European Athletics Championships 2002, she finished sixth in the same discipline.

In 2003, she won the Athens Marathon, 2004 Enschede Marathon, and the marathon of the World Championships in Athletics 2005, they came on the 38th.

In her new home she scored numerous national titles: once in cross country (1999), once in the 5000 -meter run (2002), five times in the half marathon (2000-2002, 2004, 2008 ) and four times in cross country (1999, 2001, 2003, 2007).

Nadezhda " Nadia " Wijenberg is 1.60 m tall, weighs 46 kg and starts for the club AV Unitas.
