Nakhon Thai District

Amphoe Nakhon Thai ( Thai นครไทย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the eastern part of the province of Phitsanulok in northern Thailand.

Geography

Amphoe Nakhon Thai Phitsanulok is situated in the east of the province and is covered to a large extent by the National Park Phu Hin Rong Kla. Nakhon Thai is located within the Nan Basin, which flows to the Chao Phraya River. Also the Kwai River flows through the Amphoe, as well as the smaller Fia ( Thai: ลำน้ำ เฟี้ ย ) and Kaem ( Thai: ลำน้ำ แขม ).

Amphoe Nakhon Thai borders from southwest clockwise as seen in Wang Thong and chat Trakan the province of Phitsanulok, the Amphoe Na hao and Dan Sai in Loei province and to Amphoe Khao Kho Phetchabun province.

Management

Amphoe Nakhon Thai consists of 11 subdistricts ( tambon), which further into 142 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

Nakhon Thai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นครไทย ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district. It consists of parts of the Tambon Nakhon Thai. Ban Yaeng ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน แยง ) is another small town ( thesaban tambon), it consists of parts of the tambon Ban Yaeng

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
