Bang Rakam District

Amphoe Bang Rakam ( Thai: อำเภอ บางระกำ ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the province ( Changwat ) Phitsanulok in northern Thailand.

Geography

Adjacent Amphoe are seen from the north: Phrom Phiram, Phitsanulok and Bang Krathum in the province of Phitsanulok, Sam Ngam and Wachirabarami in the province of Phichit, Lan Krabue in the province of Kamphaeng Phet and Khiri Mat and Kong Krailat in the province of Sukhothai.

Important sources of water are the Yom River and Khlong Bang Kaeo.

History

Bang Rakam under the name Chumsaeng ( Thai: ชุมแสง ) on December 10, 1905 built. Khun Phadet Prachadun was the first chairman of the Amphoe. Later King Vajiravudh (Rama VI. ) Ordered that the name of the circle should match that of the central tambon. Therefore, one changed on 24 April 1917 names to Bang Rakam.

Economy

In Bang Rakam is the mechanical- biological waste treatment plant of the province of Phitsanulok.

Management

Amphoe Bang Rakam is divided into eleven communities ( tambon), which continues in 135 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

Bang Rakam and Plak Raet have a small-town status ( thesaban tambon), they each consist of parts of the tambon same name. Furthermore, there are eleven " Tambon administrative organizations" (administrative organization - TAO ).
