Khiri Mat District

Amphoe Khiri Mat ( Thai: อำเภอ คีรีมาศ ) is the southernmost district ( Amphoe ) of the province ( Changwat ) Sukhothai in Northern Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from the northwest clockwise): Amphoe Ban Dan Lan Hoi, the, Mueang Sukhothai Sukhothai Kong Krailat the province, as well as Bang Rakam the province of Phitsanulok and Phran Kratai of Kamphaeng Phet province.

History

The group was originally called Tannot and was renamed in 1939 in Khiri Mat.

Management

The circle is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), divide further into 101 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Thung Luang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ทุ่ง หลวง ) consists of all the same Tambon.
  • Ban Tanot ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โตนด ) consists of parts of the tambon Tanot.

There are also nine " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
