Naprej zastava slave (Forward, Flag of Glory ) is the old national anthem of Slovenia in the year 1860. The text was written by Simon Jenko and the melody comes from Davorin Jenko. They first became the unofficial national anthem of Slovenia. With the emergence of the SHS - State parts of this song were combined with parts of the Serbian and Croatian national anthems for the kingdom anthem. 1945 Naprej zastava slave became the anthem of the Yugoslav republic of Slovenia, as a Yugoslav national anthem, the old, mixed from three hymns Hymn of the kingdom was replaced by Hej Sloveni.
In the eighties, sat down by the increasingly conciliatory seventh stanza of Prešeren Zdravljica as an unofficial national anthem, which was made official with Slovenia's independence from Yugoslavia. However, the militant Naprej zastava slave was the anthem of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
