Nekvasovy
Nekvasovy ( German Nekwasow ) is a municipality with 187 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Nepomuk and belongs to Okres Plzeň -jih. The land area is 604 ha
Geography
Nekvasovy is located 479 m above sea level. M. Potok creek at the mouth area in the Kovčínský in the valley of Nekvasovský. West of the village along the creek runs Kovčínský railway line from Pilsen to Strakonice, at the Nekvasovy has a train stop. Behind it rises the 616 m high Vráž.
Neighboring towns are Barankův Mlýn, Černý Mlýn, Pohankův Mlýn and Voděra in the north, Chlumy in the northeast, and Stupovka Oselce in the east, in the southeast Kvášňovice, Kovčín in the south and Kramolín and Maňovice in the northwest.
History
Nekvasovy was first mentioned in 1558 and belonged to the rule Grünberg.
The village is famous for staging the tractor Sprint, which will be held in late June annually since 2001.
