Newell's Old Boys
Club Atlético Newell 's Old Boys is a football club from Rosario, Santa Fe Province, Argentina.
History
The club was founded on November 3, 1903. He was named after Isaac Newell, a director at the English High School in Rosario and football coach.
The club colors of red and black were the flags of the United Kingdom and Germany borrowed ( Isaac Newell was British and his wife German ). The club is often called " los leprosos " called, which is attributed to a charity game, which took place in the 1920s in favor of a leprosy clinic.
Achievements
The CA Newell 's Old Boys has been able to win 6 times the Argentine Championship: Metropolitano 1974, 1987/88, 1990/91, Clausura 1992, Apertura 2004, 2013.
1988 and 1992, the runner-up title in the Copa Libertadores has been reached.
Stadium
Their home ground is located in the neighborhood of Parque Independencia in Rosario. It is called " El Coloso del Parque ". Since the 1997 alterations were made, it has a capacity of 42,000 seats.
