Nick Holden

Nick Holden ( born May 15, 1987 in St. Albert, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player on the position of the defender standing since July 2013 when the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Nick Holden started his junior career in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he was active for the Camrose Kodiaks and the Sherwood Park Crusaders. For the season 2006/ 07 he then moved to the Chilliwack Bruins in the Western Hockey League, where he was appointed captain of the team a year later. In the 2007 /08 season he scored 22 goals in 70 games overall and were 38 templates, with which he led the Bruins defender statistics. He was also the top scorer among the defenders of the WHL.

However, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft by any team and signed as a free agent in March 2008 as an entry-level contract for three years with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Then he was initially added to the roster of Syracuse Crunch, the farm team of the Blue Jackets and played in the 2007/ 08 season still a league game in the American Hockey League.
