Niclas Bergfors

Niclas Bergfors ( born March 7, 1987 in Södertälje ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since June 2013 at the Admiral Vladivostok in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Niclas Bergfors began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior level of Södertälje SK, for the first team, he made his debut in the Elitserien in the season 2004/ 05. Then the attacker in the NHL Entry Draft was in the first round than a total of 23 players selected by the New Jersey Devils in 2005. After he ran aground in his first two years in North America exclusively for New Jersey's farm team, the Albany River Rats and Lowell Devils of the American Hockey League, he stood in the following two seasons in nine games for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League on the ice. Mainly the Swede but ran again for the AHL farm team of Lowell.

On 4 February 2010 Bergfors along with Johnny Oduya, Patrice Cormier and a draft pick for the first round of the NHL Entry Draft in 2010 was transferred to the Atlanta Thrashers, Ilya Kovalchuk while in return Anssi Salmela and came to the Devils. In addition, the teams exchanged also their electoral rights in the second round of the same draft. End of February 2011, he was given just before the trade deadline in a transfer business to the Florida Panthers.

On July 3, 2011 Bergfors signed a contract for one year at the Nashville Predators. In December 2011 he moved to Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League, but left this in January 2012 and again was obliged Severstal Cherepovets of.

During the Expansion Draft on June 17, 2013 Bergfors was selected by Admiral Vladivostok.

Internationally

For Sweden Bergfors took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2004 and 2005 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
