Nikhom Phatthana District

Amphoe Nikhom Phatthana ( Thai: อำเภอ นิคม พัฒนา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the west of the province of Rayong. The Rayong province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe the Pluak Daeng, Ban Khai, Rayong Mueang and Ban Chang Rayong Province, and Amphoe Bang Lamung Chonburi province.

History

Nikhom Phatthana was on 15 July 1996, first as sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four separated out from Amphoe Ban Tambon Khai.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force Nikhom Phatthana had henceforth Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 30 villages ( Muban ).

Map Ta Phut ( Thai: เทศบาล เมือง มาบตาพุด ) has a town status ( thesaban Mueang ), it is located in Amphoe Mueang Rayong center of and also consists of parts of the tambon Map Kha

Furthermore, there are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Map Kha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มา บ ข่า ) consists of parts of tambon Nikhon Phatthana and Map Kha
  • Makham Khu ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มะขาม คู่ ) consists of the whole tambon Makham Khu
  • Map Kha Phatthana ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มา บ ข่า พัฒนา ) consists of parts of tambon Map Kha.

There are also two " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
