Obelix and Co.
Obelix GmbH & Co. KG ( French original title: Obelix et Compagnie ) is the 23rd volume of the Asterix series. He was texted in 1976 by René Goscinny and drawn by Albert Uderzo. In 1978, he also appeared in the German language.
Action
After Obelix beat up on his birthday alone a Roman Legion, Gaius Iulius Caesar seeks a way to pacify the Gauls. He embarks on an idea of his young adviser Technokratus. Meanwhile costly plans include driving the Gauls by sudden wealth into decadence. Caesar is thus initially agreed and provides unlimited funds available. As Technokratus Obelix hits, it starts to buy from this menhirs. First, a few, then more. Soon Obelix people have to deal with from the village in order to meet demand. Over time, Obelix is the most important man in the village, this elegant dress can be tailored, neglected, however, the wild boar, and the friendship of Asterix. This displeases the action. Therefore, he forges with the druid Getafix the plan to make more villagers to Hinkelstein producer. Thus, other villagers begin to produce standing stones and sell them to the Romans. Meanwhile in Rome is slowly running out of money. In addition, Caesar asks what he should do with the menhirs that already fill a significant portion of his palace. Technokratus proposes to sell them. Thanks to a first-class marketing strategy rinse the Hinkelsteine soon a lot of money in the state coffers. This comic is a parody of capitalism. Obelix, who usually hunts wild boar, now many standing stones have to produce and pay for it instead other to hunt wild boar for him. The figure of Technokratus parodies the French politician Jacques Chirac, who was prime minister under President Valéry Giscard d' Estaing at that time. Laurel and Hardy have an appearance as Roman legionaries who must discharge the standing stones from the oxcart of Obelix. The authors Uderzo and Goscinny are seen as legionaries. In the excerpt from the Roman camp they wear on a sign her drunken friend Pierre Tchernia. In France, the story first appeared in 1976 as a series in the French magazine Pilote in issues 598-604 and was released in 1976 as an album in the publishing house Dargaud. In the German translation of the story of the Ehapa -Verlag 1976 Magazine MV was Comix ( Editions 19/1976 bis 14/1977 ) first printed in 1978 and published as Volume 23 of the Asterix series. 2002, this band has been reissued and was given a new title screen.
