Oberdorf, Basel-Landschaft

Oberndorf is a municipality in the district of Waldenburg in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland.

Geography

Oberndorf is situated in Oberbaselbiet in the so-called valley of Waldenburg in the Middle Frenke between Liestal and Waldenburg.

The municipality of Oberndorf bordered to the north Lower Village, on the east by Bennwil, in the southeast on Long Bruck, on the south by Waldenburg, on the southwest by Liedertswil and to the northwest by Titterten.

Traffic

The village lies on the pass road over the Upper Hauenstein, which connects the cantons of Basel-Landschaft and Solothurn. Through the village the Waldenburgerbahn, an overland tram from Waldenburg to Liestal runs.
