Reigoldswil (Swiss German: Reigetschwyl ) is a municipality in the district of Waldenburg in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland. It is the farthest place in the valley of the Frenke.

History

The oldest written record of Reigoldswil dates from the year 1152. Frederick I take the monastery Beinwil in himself, and confirms him all the possessions, including a personal property in Rigoldswilre. As of 1529 the inhabitants of the Frenkentals went over to the Reformed faith.
