Liedertswil is a municipality in the district of Waldenburg in the canton of Basel -Country in Switzerland.

In local parlance, the name Tschoppenhof for Liedertswil has yet been able to keep. He goes to a previous owner, Durs Tschopp, back of the yard in 1530 had owned.

Geography

The municipality is Liedertswil with 154 inhabitants and an area of 1.94 km ², is the smallest municipality in the district and to Kilchberg BL the smallest in the whole canton. The village is situated on the banks of Weigistbach which opens in Waldenburg in the Front Frenke.

The municipality is bordered to the north by Liedertswil Titterten, to the east by Oberndorf, to the south and to the west by Waldenburg Reigoldswil.

History

The first mention of Liedertswil was in 1194 as Liedirwilre.
