Omar Camporese

Omar Camporese ( born May 8, 1968 in Bologna ) is an Italian former tennis player.

Life

Camporese occurred in 1986 when the French Open junior tournament, where he reached the round of sixteen. When junior tournament of Wimbledon, he retired in the second round against Petr Korda, however, stood in the quarter-finals of the doubles competition. When junior tournament of the U.S. Open another second-round defeat followed in single, double, however, he reached the semi-finals. The following year, he became a professional tennis player, his first year as a pro, however, was not particularly successful design. His best results he had on the side of Eugenio Rossi, with whom he played together since his youth time. Throughout his Davis Cup career, he celebrated, among other wins over Michael Stich, Sergi Bruguera and Carlos Moyá.

At the Olympic Summer Games in 1988 and Summer Olympics 1992, he went to in singles and doubles for Italy. In 1988, he retired in the first round against Guy Forget, even when double was in the first round against Switzerland last stop. Four years later, both in single as well as double, he reached the second round respectively. His doubles partner was respectively Diego Nargiso.

After the end of his professional career, he worked as a tennis coach in Malcesine on Lake Garda.
