Oskars Cibuļskis

Oskars Cibulskis ( born April 9, 1988 in Riga, Latvian SSR) is a Latvian ice hockey player who stands since 2009 at Dinamo Riga in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Oskars Cibulskis began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at SK LSPA / Riga, for which he took part from 2004 to 2008 in the game operation of the Latvian Hockey League. In the season 2005/ 06 the defender played in parallel for the 2000 HK Riga, in the Belarusian Extraliga as he stood in two games on the ice. The season 2008/ 09 spent the former youth international at the EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League. With the Salzburg he reached the playoff final, where he defeated the EC KAC with his team in the best- of-seven series with 3:4 victories. In the course of the season scored 15 points scorer of Lette, of which three goals in 69 games.

After Cibulskis was able to prevail in the professional sector in the EC Red Bull, he returned to the 2009/10 season back in his Latvian homeland, where he was established in the year before the Continental Hockey League signed a contract with Dinamo Riga. In his first KHL game time he came only sporadically for Dinamo Riga used. In 15 games, he was also no points. Much more successful was the season for him at Dinamo's farm team, the Dinamo- Juniors Riga, for in 21 games he scored four goals in the Belarusian Extraliga and had eight assists. In the season 2010/11 succeeded Cibulskis enough to win a regular place in Riga in the KHL Dinam.

Internationally

For Latvia Cibulskis took part in the junior level at the U18 Junior B World Championships in 2005 and 2006 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2007 and 2008. In 2006 he reached the U18 Junior promotion to the top division. He repeated the same success in 2008 with the Latvian U20 juniors. In the senior level, he stood for the first time at the World Cup 2011 squad in his country.
