Paul Landers

Paul H. Landers ( born December 9, 1964 in East Berlin as Heiko Paul Hiersche ) is a German musician and guitarist (rhythm guitar) of the German band Rammstein.

Life

Paul H. Landers was born the son of a German and a Polish teacher. At the age of nine years, his parents took him to the USSR. His mother taught there at a technical high school for Russian foreign trade, his father was a professor of Slavic languages. After a year, they returned to the GDR. After an injury he had to stop with the gymnastics at the age of twelve years.

After school Landers began an apprenticeship as a radio and telecommunications mechanic. After his training, he earned his living as a heater in a library. By a certificate of his music school he escaped service in the NVA. Sick leave and a mailbox address also helped him until the end of the GDR, not to be recovered. On the Baltic island Hiddensee he met Niki Landers know. In 1984, he married her and took her name. In 1986 the divorce, a year later he moved with Christian " Flake" Lorenz in a residential community. In 1990, he became the father of actor Emil Reinke, who emerged from a brief relationship.

Music

At the age of 13 years led his parents, that he was like his older sister piano lessons. After a short time he moved to the clarinet and finally the guitar. Paul H. Landers mainly plays guitars by Musicman, but also has a Les Paul. In 2006 he settled modify ESP Eclipse guitar. This model went under the name ESP Eclipse I CTM PL Paul Landers Signature Model in series, but is not an official signature guitar. In 2012 he was honored by Gibson with his own signature.
