Peter Biyiasas

Peter Biyiasas ( born November 19, 1950 in Athens ) is a Canadian- American chess master.

Peter Biyiasas grew up in Vancouver. In 1972, he earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics at the University of British Columbia. In the same year he first won the Canadian championship, at the same time zone tournament. In interzonal Petropolis 1973, he was ranked 15th in 1975, he qualified again in the interzonal Manila 1976 he was 17, from 1972 to 1978, he represented Canada at four Chess Olympiads, 1978 in Buenos Aires, he received a silver medal for its result on board 2 FIDE awarded him the title of International Master in 1972 and 1978, the grandmaster title.
