Petr Kumstát

Petr Kumstát ( born November 19, 1981 in Prostějov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Energie Karlovy Vary in the Czech Extraliga since 2003.

Career

Petr Kumstát began his career in his hometown at the HC Prostějov, for whom he played in the season 1999/2000 in the second Junior League Czech Republic. He then moved to HC Orli Znojemští, for whom he made ​​his debut during the 2000 / 01 in the Czech Extraliga. Overall, he completed six games for the men's team and was otherwise continue with the juniors used. In the following season, he went 34 times in the Extraliga on the ice - while he also achieved his first goal. At the end of the season he was loaned to HC Kometa Brno, for which he completed three games.

In summer 2002, he secured a place in the Extraliga squad and his club came as at 48 main rounds and six playoff bets, in which he reached 14 points scorer. Then the HC Energie Karlovy Vary took him under contract in which he has developed over the following years into a prolific striker. In the main round of 2006/ 07 he was top scorer with 21 goals his team. In 2008, he reached with his team's play-off final against HC Slavia Prague, where they were subject to but after seven games with 3:4 victories. For this success, he contributed 43 points scorer, making him the top scorer of the HC energy in the main round. A year later, in the play- offs in 2009, these two teams met each other again in the final. This time Kumstát won with his team-mates the series 4-2 and reached the Czech Championship. In addition, he was again top scorer of the HC energy in the main round of 2008/ 09 with 45 points scorer.

Petr Kumstát is available until the end of the season 2012/13 when HC Energie Karlovy Vary under contract.

Internationally

His first jobs in the Czech national team had Petr Kumstát during the season 2007 /08 when he played some warm-up matches and three tournaments of the Euro Hockey Tour, the Karjala Cup, the Channel One Cup and the LG Hockey Games. He also denied the Czech Hockey Games 2009 for his country, which he won along with the national team. Overall, he has played more 15 matches in which he scored ten points scorer.
