Petr Záhrobský

Petr Záhrobský ( born November 30, 1980 in Jilemnice ) is a Czech skier. He is his sister Sarka Strachová trained like his father.

Biography

At FIS races Záhrobský first participated in December 1995. In its nearly 500 races this category he has been able to celebrate 20 wins. The first race in the European Cup he played in February 2000. Usually placed in the middle of the Czech reached only in February 2008, his first podium. In the 2008 /09 season he won all five Super G ( the first coinciding with Florian Scheiber ) and decided therefore clearly the discipline rating for themselves. In the 2009/10 season he won, although only a super - G, but reached with three other top- five finishes again ranked first in the super-G standings. In the season 2010/ 11, the departure was his stronger discipline. He won the last exit in Formigal and thus finished second in the discipline standings.

In Skiweltcup Záhrobský ran his first race in October 2000, but reached only eight years later in the Super -G in Val Gardena December 19, 2008 as the 30th first World Cup points. During the next twelve months he was able to drive into the top 30 four more times, taking 19 December 2009 achieved his best World Cup result with the 21st place in the downhill in Val Gardena. But it also was this 21 square his most recent win in the World Cup points.

At Olympic Games took Záhrobský three times (2002 in Salt Lake City, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 ) part. Best result in this case was a 24th place in the Super G in Salt Lake City. Similar results he achieved during his six World Cup appearances ( 2001 St. Anton, St. Moritz 2003, Bormio 2005, Åre 2007, Val d'Isere in 2009, Garmisch -Partenkirchen, 2011). Here is his best result of the 21st place in the combination of St. Moritz.
