Pierre Gasly

Pierre Gasly (* February 7, 1996 in Rouen ) is a French racing driver. He won the 2013 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. He started 2014 in the Formula Renault 3.5.

Career

Gasly began his motorsport career in karting in 2006, where he remained active until 2010. Among other things, he was second in the 2010 CIK -FIA KF3 - Championship and fourth in the World Cup. 2011 was Gaslys entry into formula racing. With four wins, he immediately became third in the French F4 Championship.

2012 moved to Gasly R -Ace Grand Prix in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. With two third places for best results he finished the season in tenth position. With 49 to 78 points, he was defeated team internally Nyck de Vries. In addition, he took part in several races of the North European Formula Renault R- Ace Grand Prix. Here he managed a third place. 2013 remained Gasly in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and received a cockpit at Tech 1 Racing. He won the race in Volokolamsk, Mogyoród and Le Castellet. With a total of eight podium finishes in 14 races Gasly decided the championship. He sat down with 195 by 179 points compared to Oliver Rowland. In addition, he took part in six races of the Formula Renault Alpine for Tech 1 Racing. He reached only once no top 4 placement and lay on the end of the season in sixth place, though he had not participated in the majority of the race.

2014 moved to Gasly Arden Motorsport in the Formula Renault 3.5. He was also included in the funding of Red Bull.
