Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii
Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a musical film made in 1972 by Adrian Maben, showing the British band Pink Floyd in the performance of six of their songs in the amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy.
The performance of the song Echoes, A Saucerful of Secrets and One of These Days was recorded between October 4, 1971 and 7 October 1971. The rest of the songs of the film were shot in a studio in Paris between 1971 and early 1972. This version of the film was placed in the cinemas in September 1972 and is also seen as bonus material on the DVD version of the film. In August 1974, a further version of the film was released, which added the previous film with studio recordings at Abbey Road Studios. The photographs showed the musicians in the creation of the album The Dark Side of the Moon. The film shoots were readjusted, as the band at this time with the records for the album was finished and already performed the mix.
