The Nile Song
July 27, 1969
The Nile Song ( Eng.: The Nile Song ) is a song from the 1969 released album More, the soundtrack to the accompanying film, the British music group Pink Floyd. It is the second title of the album and was coupled together with the musically similar Ibiza Bar as a single.
The play, which depicts the encounter of a man with a woman on the Nile, is instrumented for Pink Floyd ratios very hard and strong and therefore can be regarded as a forerunner of Heavy Metal.
The Nile song was played live after its release and never even belonged no longer later in the band or the band members on their solo tours program.
