Poggiridenti

Poggiridenti is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1868 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Sondrio in the Lombardy region. The community is located about 4.5 km east-northeast of Sondrio, on the Adda in Valtellina.

History

The church was first mentioned in the 12th century.

Traffic

Through the community, the Strada Statale 38 dello Stelvio leads from Piantedo coming over the Stelvio Pass. The train station of Poggiridenti together with the neighboring communities Tresivio and Piateda is located on the ferrovia Alta Valtellina.
