Polish Football Association

The Polski Związek Pilki Nożnej ( PZPN ) is the Football Federation of Poland.

History

The PZPN was founded on 20 December 1919 in Warsaw during the " First Meeting of 31 Polish football clubs ". At the founding meeting were, among others, the following football clubs here: Cracovia Kraków, Wisła Kraków, Kraków RKS, Czarni Lwów, Pogoń Lwów, Lechia Lwów, ŁKS Łódź, Poznań and Warta Polonia Warszawa. The head was of 22 December 1919 to January 14, 1928 in Krakow, since it is located in Warsaw. The predecessor of the PZPN was the Związek Polski Pilki Nożnej ( Lwów ) ​​, founded and active only in Galicia on 25 June 1911 in Lviv. On April 20, 1923, Poland was at the FIFA Congress in Geneva official member of the World Football Association. At the Congress of UEFA on March 2, 1955 in Vienna, the PZPN was taken as the 30th member of the European football association.

Achievements

Regional Associations

The most important organizational structures of the PZPN form the Province associations for football ( pln Wojewódzki Związek Pilki Nożnej ), whose members are the sports clubs from the territory of one of the 16 provinces. The associations are subordinate as units without legal personality, the district associations ( Okręgowy Związek Pilki Nożnej ) as corporations and sub-districts ( Podokręg ).
