Pontiac Star Chief
The Pontiac Star Chief was built by the U.S. automakers Pontiac model of the upper middle class, which was offered from 1954 to 1966.

In 1954, Pontiac Chieftain in addition to, the only one for quite a few years model of the brand, the new Star Chief with a longer wheelbase than a top model. As the smaller Chieftain had the Star Chief, a massive pontoon body with molded rear fenders and a hood that reminded her pointed structure at the alligator hoods. The Star Chief Deluxe was a 2-door convertible and as a four -door sedan available, the better equipped Star Chief Custom 2 - door hardtop coupe or 4 -door sedan. 1955-1957

1955 a completely revised Star Chief was presented. The cars were much slimmer and lower; the molded rear fenders were also disappeared as pointed alligator shape of the hood. 1956 got the car rocket -shaped inserts on the front bumpers and there was an additional body style, a four - door hardtop sedan, which replaced the previous sedan in the custom design. All Star Chief got a bigger V8 engine, the 5188 cm ³ at engine capacity a power of 216-227 hp ( 159-167 kW) gave.

Pontiac Star Chief Catalina Hardtop (1958 )
1958 there was a completely new styling. The cars were double headlights, panoramic windows and rear wider side stripes in the tail fins. Also, the V8 engine was again enlarged and carried now 255-285 bhp ( 187.5 to 210 kW) from a displacement of 6063 cc.
A short wheelbase of the series 27, it was only the 5 - door station wagon as a custom safari, with the long series of 28 two hardtop models with two or four doors and a 4-door sedan and Super Deluxe.

Pontiac Star Chief Custom Vista Hardtop (1959 )
Back in 1959, the Star Chief was completely revised again. The shark's mouth disappeared in favor of a two-part grille in the form of elongated horseshoe used with dual headlights.
