List of Presidents of Chile since the country's independence:

Chile is a republic since its independence. In the years to 1826 it was ruled intermittently by a collective Government ( Junta de Gobierno ), sometimes it had a director supremo as head of state. Since 1826 the head of state, the President of the Republic (Presidente de la República ). 1891 to 1925 there was a parliamentary system of government, before and since then a presidential system.
