Rachel Komisarz

Rachel Komisarz ( born December 5, 1976 in Detroit ) is an American swimmer.

Career

She lives with her ​​husband, the bodybuilder Jeff Baugh, in Louisville, Kentucky. There she is part of the Lakeside Swim Team, where she is coached by Mike DeBoor. It reached its first major success with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay at the World Swimming Championships in Barcelona in 2003, where she became world champion. At the Olympic Sommerpspiele, 2004 in Athens, she swam in the lead for the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay, which then took the final in a world record time Olympic gold and in the run for the 4 × 200 m medley relay that took second place in the final.

The largest international achievements came at the Short Course World Championships 2008 in Manchester, where she won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 m medley relay.
