Radostynia

Radstein (Polish: Radostynia ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Radstein located in the municipality Zülz ( Biała) in Prudnicki powiat (district Neustadt OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Radstein located four kilometers northeast of the municipal center Zülz, 14 kilometers northeast of the county town of Prudnik ( Neustadt OS) and 32 kilometers southwest of the Opole voivodship.

Neighboring towns of Radstein are in the northwest mountain Ernestine ( Górka Prudnicka ), in the northeast Mokrau ( Mokra ), to the east Krobusch ( Krobusz ) and in the southwest Ellguth ( Ligota Bialska ).

History

The village was founded in the early 16th century and was first mentioned in 1531 as " Radostina ".

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 507 voters voted to remain in Germany and 123 for Poland. Radstein remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the county Neustadt OS

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Radostynia and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Prudnicki. On 6 March 2006 the German Radstein was in the community Zülz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 24 November 2008, the site received an additional Radstein the official German place names.
