Rapu Rapu - Iceland is a Philippine island in the province of Albay. It lies about 23 km off the coast of the Bicol Peninsula and separates along with Cagraray, Guinangayan, Batan Iceland the Gulf of Lagonoy from the Gulf of Albay in the western Philippine Sea. Rapu Rapu - Iceland is managed by the same metropolitan area Rapu - Rapu from community. On the island there are 13 barangays of the municipality, they are described as a village in 2007 and had a population of 12,107 people, the population living mainly from fishing, are found in the coastal plains and smaller agricultural areas. In Barangay Malobalo, in the east of the island, since 1936, a gold mine is operated. This meets with the local population is little acceptance and is a trigger for civil protests.

The island has the form of a lens that is aligned east-west direction. The topography of the island is characterized by a mountainous terrain that rises above sea level in the interior of the island at Mount Binanderahan up to 600 meters. The coastline of about 21 km long and 9 km wide island is dominated by sand, gravel beaches and basalt formations. The vegetation of the island consists of a dense tropical rain forest vegetation, which has a very original character. The island has numerous kinds of Philippine flora and fauna can be observed, such as bats, many species of birds, insects and snakes.

Ferry to the island is made up from the port of Legazpi City and Sorsogon City. The crossing takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
