Raquel Rastenni

Raquel Rastenni ( born August 21, 1915 in Copenhagen as Anna Rachel raced; † 17 August 1998 Skodsborg ) was a Danish pop singer.

Rastenni had from 1938 performances with orchestras or her own swing trio. In October 1943 she had with her parents, Russian immigrants were Jews, flee to Sweden as Denmark was under German occupation. She returned back to Denmark in 1945. She continued her singing career and in 1953 with the single Hele ugen alene achieved the first Gold Record in Denmark. You won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 1958 and was therefore entitled to take part in the Grand Prix Euro Vision Song Contest. With the hit Jeg rev et blad ud af min dagbog she landed at No. 8

In the 1980s, she retired from the music business.
