Region of Southern Denmark

The Syddanmark Region ( German: Region of Southern Denmark ) in Denmark comprises the southern part of Jutland Norder ( Nørrejylland, north of Königsau ), the northern part of Jutland Southshore ( Jutland, south of the Königsau ) and the island of Funen, together with other islands of the Danish South Sea. Capital is Vejle. The regions were closed down after a reorganization on 1 January 2007, the Danish office districts ( Amtskommuner ) as administrative districts from.

The Region of Southern Denmark comprises the former offices Funen, Southern Jutland and Ribe Amt office, and the former municipalities Børkop, Egtved, Fredericia, Give, Jelling, Kolding, Lundrskov, Vamdrup and Vejle, the Office had in Vejle. Despite the region name are parts of the Sjælland region south than the Region of Southern Denmark.

The region is divided randomly into the Landsdele Funen and South Jutland.
