History
Renville was created in 1878 with the construction of the railway. The population grew rapidly, so that the place was incorporiert in 1906. City and County was named named after Joseph Renville, a pioneer of French and Native American ancestors.
In Renvilles economy still dominates the processing of agricultural products. So one of the largest sugar factories in the world was built in Renville.
