Rita Wilson

Rita Wilson ( born October 26, 1956 in Los Angeles, California as Margarita Ibrahimova ) is an American actress and film producer.

Life and achievements

The father of Rita Wilson was Bulgarian, her mother of Greek descent. The family changed the surname of Ibrahimov (or Ibrahimoff ) in Wilson after the street where she lived.

Wilson played in the comedy Everything is at my command (1985 ) alongside Tom Hanks and John Candy one of the major roles in the comedy Life Savers - The Life Saver (1994 ) she appeared alongside Steve Martin. In the movie Now and Then - Then and Now (1995 ) she played alongside Gaby Hoffmann, Thora Birch, Christina Ricci, Demi Moore and Melanie Griffith, in the comedy Jingle All the Way (1996 ) opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. She played the role of Ellie Graham, the boss and former wife of Ike Graham, the Richard Gere starred in the comedy The bride who does not dare.

As a producer, she was responsible for the hit movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding - Wedding in Greek (2002) and the television series My Big Fat Greek Life ( 2003).

Wilson is married to Tom Hanks since April 1988 and has with him two sons together ( 4 * August 1990 and born 26 December 1995). She is also the stepmother of two children from his first marriage Hanks. Her brother Chris Wilson composed the music for the film My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
